Regis Philbin is tired of being in pain and limping around the "Live With Regis and Kelly" set. He will be taking a leave of absence for his December 1st surgery, and is planning to return to work sometime in the new year.
A temporary co-host has not been decided upon, but in the past a variety of people have filled in, including Regis' wife.
