Hurricanes and Emergencies—The Unexpected Surgery

By October 31, 2012

Follow me on:

Hurricane Sandy, Frankenstorm, Superstorm... whatever you call it, it was an emergency for many.

Emergency surgery can happen due to a freak storm, a car accident, or a condition you never even knew you had.  Your appendix may decide to get a little angry, or you may slip and fall on some ice, but the result is the same: emergency surgery.

When something comes up so suddenly, there is no opportunity to plan and take your time with the decision.  Even with a sudden surgery, you can still find out what you can expect here: Emergency Surgery.  You can find out what tests are commonly done, what happens during surgery and what you can expect when the surgery is done and recovery begins.
