Singing Star Bjork Has Surgery On Her Vocal Cords

Bjork, the Icelandic musician who (possibly) is equally famous for the swan dress she once wore to the Oscars, has had surgery on her vocal cords.

She began having issues with a polyp on her vocal cords several years ago, and it did not improve with vocal exercises and lifestyle changes.  After recently having to cancel tour dates due to the issue, Bjork elected to have the surgery.  She is not alone amongst professional musicians, Adele, Keith Urban and John Mayer have also had surgery to treat vocal polyps.

Her three octave range has reportedly not been affected by the procedure.
