Definition: Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape the nose. Derived from the Greek words for "nose" and "to shape", rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure to improve the appearance and/or function of the nose.

While most rhinoplasty procedures are performed for cosmetic reasons, rhinoplasty can also be performed to reshape a deformed nose, to fix trauma to the nose, or to help improve the function of the nose (such as fixing a deviated septum).
